Hunting the ranch
A managed whitetail program going back to 2001, estate and free range axis alongside it, and dove in the September fields. Every hunt is booked through Kyle Crouch.

Managed since 2001
Whitetail is the program here, and it has been run the same way for more than twenty years: strict harvest discipline, introduced genetics, and continuous water and habitat work on the same ground. What comes off the place is the result of decisions made several seasons earlier.
Axis runs estate and free range with no closed season, and is the best eating deer in Texas. Dove fills the managed fields in September. That is the whole card, and it is deliberately short.
The program the ranch is known for
Two decades of management on the same ground, guided from blinds and stands set for the wind. Seasons run October through January. Harvest is by arrangement with your guide, and nothing is taken that the program has not produced.

Estate and free range
Both estate and free range axis hunting are available. Axis can be taken year round, with the best of it from spring into early autumn, by rifle or by bow. Widely held to be the best eating deer in Texas.

September, over managed fields
Fields managed for the season, with room for a group and lodging on the place the same night. Mourning and white wing. Arranged in advance through Kyle.

Handled on the place
A skinning shed and a cleaning station on site, so nothing has to travel before it is cared for. The signposts at the gate point to the hunting lodge, guest parking, the skinning shed, the main house and the barn.
